Otis Eldridge, of Orange Cove, Calif., died Jun 22. He was born and reared in Madison County and spent most of his lifetime here, moving to California a few years ago.
His wife preceded him in death a few years ago, also three children. Survivors include eleven children.

WHEREAS, Otis Eldredge and Emma Eldredge executed a certain mortgage in favor of the County of Fresno, as security for funds advanced on their behalf as county indigents, which mortgage bears date of April 16, 1954, and was recorded May 3, 1954, and Book 3440, Page 627, of Official Records of the County of Fresno, covering property described as follows:

City of Orange Cove: S 50 ft of N 200 ft of E 150 ft of Block 87

WHEREAS, the payment of the sum of $636.78 has been received by the County of Fresno in consideration for the release of said mortgage;
WHEREAS, said Sun is the total amount of County eight advanced, and the County Welfare Department has recommended the release of said mortgage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chairman of this Board be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Release of Mortgage on behalf of the County of Fresno, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said the Release of mortgage be mailed to George A. Hopper, Attorney at Law, 711 Park Blvd., Orange Cove, California, without payment of any sum to the County of Fresno, after first being recorded in the office of the County recorder of Fresno County.
