Mrs. Charlotte Henley, aged 71, was buried Monday afternoon at Friendship Methodist church, Rev. Mr. Williams conducting the services. Interment was made in the church Cemetery.
Mrs. Henley, who died Saturday at her home near Oak Ridge, had been for many years a consecrated member of the church. She was married in 1870 to Robert Rayle, who died in 1888. to that union eleven children were born, of whom six are living, Mrs. J. J. Newman, Mrs W. Crutchfield, J. V., A. L., Charlie and Harper Rayle, all of Guilford county. Later she was married to William Henley, and to this union thre [sic] children were born, Mrs. Fred Gray, of Thomasville; Mrs. George Pegram and Grover Henley, the two latter of Guilford county. She also leaves 69 grand-children and six great grandchildren.
She was a woman of fine traits of character.

7 "Mrs. Phoebe Rayle," (Greensboro) Record, 11 Jan 1949; ASHEBORO, Jan 11--Mrs. Phoebe Ellen FarringtonRayle, 57, wife of Alonzo L. Rayle of Route 8, Greensboro, died Sunday in Randolph Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Burnett's Chapel Methodist Church and burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband; five daughters: Mrs. D. W. Swain of Pleasant Garden, Mrs. Clay Stubblefield of Miami, Fla., Mrs. J. T. Hinson of Route 8, Greensboro. Mrs. V. F. Toomes of Route 1, Randleman, and Miss Barbara Rayle of the home; five sons, J. C. of Asheboro, A. A. of Route 1, Randleman, R. E. of Route 8, Greensboro, and J. H. and Billy of the home; one sister, Mrs. Carl Osborne of Clayville, Va; four brothers, B. R. Farrington, Rehobeth Beach, Del., P.D. Farrington, Ft. Worth, Texas, Alex Farrington of Route 8, Greensboro, and Charlie Farrington of Lamar, Pa., and 14 grandchildren.

Alonzo Rayle, 85, father of John C. Rayle, of Asheboro, died Wednesday at his home on Greensboro, route 8, after an illness of one month.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Burnett's Chapel Methodist church there and interment was made in the church cemtery.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. D. W. Swaim and Mrs. Norman Weatherly of Route 1, Greensboro, Mrs. John T. Hinson of Route 8, Greensboro, Mrs W. T. McMurray of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. B. S. Toomes of Route 1, Randleman; five sons, Robert E. and Jack H. of Route 1, Greensboro, Billy D. of Route 8, Greensboro, Arnold A. of Route 1, Randleman, and John C. of Asheboro; a sister Mrs. Webb Crutchfield of Oak Ridge; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
