Alonzo Rayle applied for a marriage license on 14 Oct 1909. He stated he was of Greensboro, North Carolina, aged 25 years, white and the son of Robert Rayle, dead, and Charlotte Rayle, living and a resident of Persuasive. His intended was Phebe Farrington of Randleman, North Carolina, aged 18 years, white and the daughter of T. B. Farrington, living and a resident of Randleman, North Carolina and Elizabeth Farrington, dead. The license was signed by H. W. Masters, Register of Deeds and witnessed by Alonzo Rayl and Lealah Micheal (Mitchell). The license was issued in Forsyth County, North Carolina.
P. T. Lehman, Justice of the Peace in Forsyth County, united Alonzo Rayle and Phebe Farrington on the same day, 14 Oct 1909 in Salem Township, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. F. Stockton, J. H. Zebely and H. W. Masten witnessed the marriage.

"Mrs. Charlotte Henley," (Greensboro) Patriot, 13 Dec 1923, p. 7, col. 3;
Mrs. Charlotte Henley, aged 71, was buried Monday afternoon at Friendship Methodist church, Rev. Mr. Williams conducting the services. Interment was made in the church Cemetery.
Mrs. Henley, who died Saturday at her home near Oak Ridge, had been for many years a consecrated member of the church. She was married in 1870 to Robert Rayle, who died in 1888. to that union eleven children were born, of whom six are living, Mrs. J. J. Newman, Mrs W. Crutchfield, J. V., A. L., Charlie and Harper Rayle, all of Guilford county. Later she was married to William Henley, and to this union thre [sic] children were born, Mrs. Fred Gray, of Thomasville; Mrs. George Pegram and Grover Henley, the two latter of Guilford county. She also leaves 69 grand-children and six great grandchildren.
She was a woman of fine traits of character.
