Vilhelm "Skrythals" var hertug av Aquitania og greve av Poitou som Vilhelm II 963 - 990. Han tapte Loudeon til greven av Anjou. Vilhelm forsvarte med hell Poitiers mot sin svoger Hugo Capet i 988, men ble overvunnet i et stort slag og ble til slutt forsonet med Hugo. I 990 trakk han seg tilbake til klosteret St. Maxient og døde der.
