Nana's notes say Jacob Brooks was the son of William. They say Jacob
married a Miss Shepherd of North Carolina and they had a large family. I
put possibly Joab in here, because Jacob when handwritten could easily be
mistaken for Joab, and I keep running into Joab Brooks in Georgia
Records. I believe Joab had four or five sons who served in the
Revolution. This Joab thing could be a totally wrong idea, but I wanted
to put a record of it in here.
I guessed at birthdate...see father William
