She was the oldest child of Sir Henry Vane the Younger and became a Quaker after her first husband's, Edward Kewkewich, death. It was her money that enabled her second husband, John Grubb, to purchase land in America.

Frances married John GRUBB, son of John Henry GRUBB and Helen VIVIAN, about 1678. (John GRUBB was born on 20 Apr 1652 in Truro, Cornwall, England and died about 1706 in Marcus Hook, Chester, Pennsylvania.)
