Frances Vane
General Notes: She was the oldest child of Sir Henry Vane the Younger and became a Quaker after her first husband's, Edward Kewkewich, death. It was her money that enabled her second husband, John Grubb, to purchase land in America. Frances married John Grubb, son of John Henry Grubb and Helen Vivian, circa 1681 in Marcus Hook, Delaware, PA. (John Grubb was born on 20 Apr 1652 in Truro, Cornwall, England and died on 4 Mar 1708 in Wilmington, New Castle, DE.) |
