Notes: the son of Egenulf De Feriers, Master of the House of the Duke of Normandy, who obtained of William, the Conqueror, large grants of land in the counties of Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. It is said he took an active part in the Battle of Hastings, having invaded England with the Conqueror.
