His father was Helge Hvasse (the Sharp); and his mother was Aslaug, a daughter of Sigurd the worm- eyed, whoagain was a son of Ragnar Lodbrok. ..." When his father died, Sigurd inherited Skċne, Halland, the Danish islands, and Viken.
