Thomas B. Fearington died at 11:00 p.m. on 10 Mar 1922 in Sumner, Guilford County, North Carolina of chronic hepatitis which he had for four years. He was a married white male about 60 years old. He was born about 1862 in North Carolina to an unnamed father and Peggy Lineberry. His wife was Alice Fearington. He was a farmer. The informant was C. A. Fearington of Randleman, North Carolina. He was buried in Burnetts Chapel on 12 Mar 1922 by Hanes Funeral Home in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Tom B. Farrington, a well known farmer of Summer township, died at his home Friday, after an illness of several wees. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Bennett's chapel and interment was made in the church cemetery. Mr. Farrington leaves his widow and eight children, all residents of the county.
