Mathilde (Philippa, Mahud) styrte hertugdømmet Aquitania under Vilhelm VII's fravær i det hellige land. I 1114 gjorde hun innfall i grevskapet Toulouse mot sin fetter Alfons-Jourdain og allierte seg med vicomte Bernhard-Ato. I 1114 grunnla hun klosteret Espinasse i Toulouse stift. Hun var religiøs og døde i Fontevraud. Hun var 1. gang gift ca. 1085 med kong Sancho I av Aragon som ble drept i 1094.
Mathilde-Philippa married Sancho I of Aragon, son of Ramiro I of Aragon and Gerberga of Bigorre, circa 1085. (Sancho I of Aragon was born circa 1044 and died in 1094.) The cause of her death was he was killed.
