Jos. Eldredge, 47, was living with his wife, Loudena, 45, and children, Lloyd and Floyd, both 23, Howard, 16, Ulva, 14, Marpall, and Marshall, both 12, Florence, 7, Paul, 6, Ruby, 4, and Donald, 2 5/12 in Hutchinson County, Texas. They owned the farm and it was worth $100. He first married at 21 and Loudena was 19. All but the three youngest children could read and write. Jos. and Loudena as well as the three oldest children were born in Arkansas. The rest of the children excepth Donald were born in Oklahoma. Donald was born in Texas. Jos. father was born in Illinois and mother in Missouri. The birthplace of Loudena's parents is unreadable. Joseph and his three oldest sons were laborers in the oil field. Eldredge. They rent their home. Joseph and Loudena were born in Arkansas as were their three oldest children. The other children were born in Oklahoma. Joseph's father was born in Illinois and mother in Missouri. Loudena's father was born in Arkansas and mother in Illinois. Loudena and the three youngest children do not read or write.
