Marriage Certificate of Enos and Hannah Millikan Blair
Whereas Enos Blair of the County of Guilford, State of North Carolina, son of Colbert and Sarah Blair and Hannah Millikan, daughter of William Millikan and Jane his wife of county and province aforesaid having declared their intention of marriage before several monthly meetings of the people called Quakers at Centre, in the aforesaid province county of Guilford and having consent of parents and relatives concerned there-in, their proposals of marriage were allowed of by the aforesaid meetin. Now these may certify all whom it may concern that for the fll accomplishment of their aforesaid marriage this tenth day of the fifth month in the year of our Lord One Thousand and Seven Hundred and Seventy Five, They the aforesaid Enos Blair and Hannah Millikan appeared at a meeting appointed for that purpose of the aforesaid at the house of John Rich in the aforesaid County of Guilford and solemnized their marriageaccording to the good order used among Friends and as a further confirmation thereof, they aforesaid Enos Blair and Hannah Blair did unto their certificate set their hands, she according to the custom of marriage assuming the name of her husband.
